I'm older than I look. At least I like to think so. Two reasons for it. One is hereditary ... my grandfather died with a full head of hair in his late 80's - hair helps. The other is that I don't think of my age ... seriously, if you ask me what my age is, I have to stop and think. Why? Because I still live with feelings from teenage issues and feel like a kid inside trying to be a man.

I spoke this week to a young guy who travels the world on business ... three flights a week ... and to just about every country you can think of. I found myself listening with a childlike sense of wonder at his travel tales.

Like a child, I look at the world with awe, finding new possibilities and adventures each and every day. Living in the present moment enables us to fully experience and enjoy everything life has to offer.

If you have a mindset of living in the NOW, you can maintain the passion, energy, focus, and optimism of youth. Imagine going on the journey of life with all that gusto of discovery and feeling eternally young!

What an enormous secret to discover! Could it be the legendary Fountain of Youth?

What humans have sought throughout the ages is really inside all the time! The real beauty of youth is limitless. You cannot use it up, for the more you use it, the more you have. How amazing!

So start your day rejoicing in the wonder of the dawn. As the sun rises, it brings with it a day like no other. Know that this day can only happen once and you are blessed to be a part of it. Look forward to the day with anticipation, wondering what exciting things are in store for you.

Just as every day is unique, so, too, is every moment. Let nothing go to waste! Revel in the experience of each moment. Take advantage of opportunities that come your way with passion and swift action.

Then, each night, go to bed with no regrets, sleeping the deep, rejuvenating sleep of youth.

Realistically, I know how chronologically old I am but every day I try to put aside the experiences (and wisdom) of my years, to remember what it is like to be a child and see a whole new adventure opening up before me.

Self-Reflection Questions:
1. When was the last time you allowed yourself to see things through the eyes of a child?

2. Do you feel a sense of wonder about the miracle of each moment?

3. How can you live more fully in the present moment?

Learn from others' experience ....
He's got a very pure heart, very loving, caring and childlike. If people criticize him or act jealous, his reaction is 'Why?' I don't think he can wrap his mind around that kind of behavior.

One of the keys is to not be childish, but act childlike. The idea is not to shirk adult responsibilities. It's about finding ways how you can interject fun into your everyday life.
