Do you have friends who tell you that you look at life though rose coloured glasses?

They're the same people who tell you that you don't live in the real world. Well, there's only one thing to say to them - "Thank you!"

Thank them for recognising you've chosen a different perspective. You've deliberately chosen to take an optimistic view of life and to trust that good things are created in your life.

Yours is your real world. Theirs is their real world. It is all in the eye of the beholder.

So when challenges arise, you look for the silver lining and learn from the challenge. Your critical friend's real world becomes mired in doubt and negatvity. Which would you prefer?

Just as roses have sharp thorns along with their incredible beauty, life has its piercing moments along with its joy. One naturally goes along with the other.

Welcome this diversity and include it into your rose-coloured view. Just because your view is rosy does not mean that you see only what is good and ignore the rest! Accept it all.

Rather than clouding your view, your rose coloured glasses bring you perfect clarity!

The difference is that you focus more on the beauty and can often find something good in everything.

I intend to keep my rose-coloured glasses on at all times. I expect the best and I reach to find the silver lining in the challenges that I know will inevitably come my way. That's keepin' it real.

Self-Reflection Questions:
1. Do you look at life through rose-coloured glasses?

2. How can seeking the silver lining help you overcome a current challenge?

3. How can an optimistic attitude help you move forward toward the life you desire?

Learn from others' experience ....
Rose-coloured glasses are never made in bifocals. Nobody wants to read the small print in dreams.
~ Ann Landers

One day he passed by a decaying dog carcass in the road with his companions, and replied, when they complained at how rank it smelled, “Yes, but its teeth are beautiful!”
~ Daniel Abdal-Hayy Moore
