Do all you can with what you have where you
are ...
seems like a simple statement, but it is really quite profound,
and truly when lived, can have a life-altering impact on your
life! Even when it is practiced unconsciously, it is powerful.
But when we engage in it consciously, we add Universal fuel
and energy to it.
Sometimes
we think, feel, believe that we are stuck. We don't like where
we are, and we most certainly don't want to be there. In fact,
we spend our time resisting where we are and seem to get even
more stuck. We play the "If Only" game .... if only
I had this or that ... if only I had a job I love ... if only
I had a man or woman in my life ... if only I had more money
.... add your own version.
It's
safe to say that when we play "If Only" we are not
living in divine presence ... we most definitely are not working
in harmony with the Law.
And
we think, "Let me get through this current circumstance
and then I'll start showing up fully. Let me get my ducks
in a row first and then things will turn around for me."
But
just think about this "ducks in a row" statement.
Imagine a mother duck and her ducklings. The ducklings are
all crowded around her at the side of the road and she is
trying desperately to get them lined up behind her so they
can cross the street. What do you have? Duck chaos! She doesn't
do that. She doesn't spend one moment trying to get them in
a row, what does she do? She simply heads in the direction
she wants to go and starts across the street ... all of a
sudden her little ducklings fall in line behind her!
That's what this statement: "Do all you can with what
you have where you are" implies. Begin and then do
the best job you can! Even if it isn't exactly what you want!
Stop resisting and do your best, no matter what it is. Then
do what I call "Ride the horse in the direction it's
going." Life is much easier when you're not straining
on the reins. If you've ever ridden a horse, you know the
horse responds more to your balance and leg pressure than
to pulling on the reins.
Hundreds
of years ago, Goethe wrote: Whatever you can do, or dream
you can, now begin it! Boldness has genius, magic, and power
in it.
The
quality of your life is in direct proportion to your commitment
regardless of your chosen field of endeavor.
Whatever
you dream for yourself in 2012, do it fully, bringing your
full heart and passion to it and the Universe will respond.
It has to. That's the way it works!
Do
all you can with what you have where you are .. no resistance
.. and ride the horse in the direction it's going ...
Have an abundant
New Year .....

Commitment unlocks the doors

Unless commitment is made,
there are only promises and hopes; but no plans.

The relationship between commitment
and doubt is by no means an antagonistic one. Commitment is
healthiest when it's not without doubt but in spite of doubt.
