True Spirituality is not about religion - it is about you and how you live in the world. The words you speak give insight to your character - and more importantly - signal to others whether you are at peace with yourself deep down.

Do you communicate positively and peacefully? Do you exchange words and feelings with others in a positive and calm manner?

If you remove yourself from feelings of anger and frustration before you engage in communications, you'll find people are more willing to deal with you and help you. Your communication is calm and constructive.

It is difficult to communicate with others when they feel defensive. If you lower your defenses (that's all anger is) and provide a peaceful stage for constructive communication, you open the door for others to communicate in a positive way as well.

Constructive communication makes you feel empowered. So be centred, strong, and in control and be fair in your dealings with others.

Reach out and offer a peaceful environment, no matter how the other person presents. If you remain positive, confident and calm in the fiercest storm, you will move past the roadblocks into the future you want for yourself.

Self-Reflection Questions:
1. How can you calm yourself before communicating?

2. Have you taken the time to understand the situation at hand?

3. Have you communicated your thoughts and feelings constructively?
