Some
people think that by following a spiritual path they
shouldn't experience emotions like anger and sadness.
There is a way to do that. It's called death.
But
for now recognise that you are having this human experience
and emotions are part of the contract.
However
if you let out of control emotions dictate your behavior,
you know you will have regrets. When you are calm, you
make intelligent choices.
Tranquility
will heal you and keep you from anxiety. If you remain
calm your view will be clear.
Where your spiritual training comes in is knowing how
to move through your and other people's negative emotions,
knowing
who you are and owning your power.
To
keep a sense of calm in your life, practice meditation
regularly, read and listen to uplifting authors, and
take in what the sages tell you.
Don't
overload yourself - saying no to extra responsibilities
is something we have to do in order to protect ourselves
from stress.
You
know that worrying won't add a day to your life or remove
a wrinkle from your face. Have you ever seen a happy
worried person?
Living
in consciousness helps you live a life of integrity.
