I 'm sure you've heard the saying "Today is the first day of the rest of your life." If you go beyond the cliche and listen to the truth in the saying, what changes can you bring about to make the rest of it what you truly want it to be.

It's all about you and how you feel about yourself. So in this new approach, choose to let go of any negative feelings you may hang on to about yourself. Instead, embrace the real you - faults and all!

Face it - it's your faults and imperfections that make you the perfectly unique individual you are today. No one is just like you.

When you love yourself first, you can more easily love others and their faults. In this way, your relationships are based on truth rather than some unreal picture you have of others or they have of you.

Even though you have talents you desire to strengthen, weaknesses you prefer to lessen, and habits you want to break, accepting where you are with them today is the first step to a successful change.

Recognise and accept each and every imperfection and, at the same time, compliment yourself on your strengths as they grow to accept them as your driving force. Live a life of self-discovery and love. That's how you discover your divinity.

Self-Reflection Questions:
1. Do you love and accept all of yourself?

2. What parts of yourself do you harbour negative feelings about?

3. How can you turn your frown upside down?

Learn from others' experience ....
It is easy to see the faults of others, but difficult to see one's own faults. One shows the faults of others like chaff winnowed in the wind, but one conceals one's own faults as a cunning gambler conceals his dice.
~ Buddha

No one is willing to acknowledge a fault in himself when a more agreeable motive can be found for the estrangement of his acquaintances.
~ Mark Twain
